Summer’s Joy

Acrylic & Unryu Paper on Canvas 18x18 (Private Collection NJ)

I painted this little bouquet on lavender Japanese Unryu paper…people who know me well will be surprised to know I didn’t shred the delicate paper to pieces as I worked 🙂 Thankful for small miracles.

  1. It’s a type of Japanese paper that has “kozo” fibers ( I think it’s from the mulberry tree/plant?) throughout to give it a subtle texture. It’s really pretty as it looks delicate but actually has quite a bit of strength.
