I send that gratitude out to all who have helped make it happen and carry a full heart into 2017!! The best and happiest of new years to you all!!

I have found a happy groove working with the wax …Some pieces are on wax coated with shiny metallic pigments that add the sense of magic and otherworld-ness I look for in my work 🙂 Happy to be painting!
Halycyon Days 16.5 x 21.5 (metallic gold pigment, oil and encaustic
Blushing Ways 10x1ox1.5 (pigmented wax)
Always Believe 10x10x1.5 (pigmented wax)
Rhapsody 18x24x2 (pigmented wax)
Songbird 12x12x1.5 (metallic silver pigment, oil and encaustic)
After a Summer and Fall of playing and experimenting with wax and the variety of mediums it is compatible with, I feel I may have finally found the vehicles to work with wax in a way honest to my creative way and artistic self. These are the results I am hoping to carry further into 2016. So happy to have this sense of direction with my encaustic practice as we close out another year 🙂
