How busy I have been!!! Working large, exploring and just discovering! Stepping out of my comfort zone and putting the work out there into juried competitions, festivals, and gallery submissions. So far the results have been a mixed bag of being completely ignored and winning some awards. I’m ready to take the many losses needed for the few hard won wins!

Finding a Voice
After a Summer and Fall of playing and experimenting with wax and the variety of mediums it is compatible with, I feel I may have finally found the vehicles to work with wax in a way honest to my creative way and artistic self. These are the results I am hoping to carry further into 2016. So happy to have this sense of direction with my encaustic practice as we close out another year 🙂

And In Between ~ Figures
…and in between all the fun with wax is the fun with my old stand by, acrylic …where it all began… It still teaches me so much which I can then transfer to wax. Happy painting!
Little Wax Updates

Wax Wonderland 2012
Timeless
Some new wax work for 2012. Love creating these imaginary garden wonderlands. The last 2 pieces show a new technique which involves lighting the whole piece on fire to create a fun web like effect. Always learning!
Waxin Some More
A few more fun pieces that have come out of the studio. Thankful that some have already found homes!
