This week needed some balm for the soul… so I worked on my spirit guides and guardian angel series. Collaging with the Japanese papers allows these beings to organically evolve and the moment they make themselves known to me is pure magic.

Thrilled to announce new gallery representation at The Rumjahn Gallery in Evansville, Indiana. They have a selection of my Chiyogami Series, Encaustics and Figuratives. If you are in the area please give them and their beautiful gallery a visit. For those in the Chicago area, Atkinson Collection Gallery continues to represent my Encaustic works….
…with all this good news, the work in the studio is growing leaps and bounds. Not sure what the exact catalyst was but the work is evolving in ways I never imagined. Guess I’m growing up a bit 😉

Many goals were set at the start of the year and in reaching for the stars my practice has attained new heights of which I had yet only dreamed. With no fear of failure (yet experiencing it very often!) I put my work out into the world and have seen the return with acceptance into 2 juried encaustic shows (Thank you Conrad Wilde Gallery & IEA!), inclusion in 3 group shows, sales and commissions all the way from Dubai, London and France to locally here in Los Angeles. These small wins make the countless losses all worth while. For any who have a dream, cast your net wide and high and you WILL catch something good. Let’s see what the rest of 2017 has to offer!

Happy to announce my ladies are part of a fun filled holiday show at Beyond the Lines Gallery at Bergamont Station in Santa Monica. It’s my second show at this new, amazing, inspiring gallery and I am beyond thrilled to share it with all of you! Show is up until Dec 29th so if you are local and need some unique holiday gifts please stop on by!!

…and in between all the fun with wax is the fun with my old stand by, acrylic …where it all began… It still teaches me so much which I can then transfer to wax. Happy painting!

Been a busy busy bee in the studio during the little one’s nap time….wax, oil, acrylic … figures, landscapes and abstracts… all inspiring me in 2014!

After quite a hiatus from the studio as I settled into the most amazing endeavor of all …being a mommy… I am back in the studio working out the kinks, getting warmed up and having a blast.
