Channeling Emotions

as cliche as it sounds, artists draw from life to inspire their work… In my case I draw from the joyful energy that has filled our home this Summer. With an ever happy and playful 4 year old and a hubby with big projects happening at work I can’t help but draw from all this movement, energy, fun and positivity and put it onto the canvas. I am so thankful for all these blessings, which I hope to give back to the world through this work…

Lovin’ the Bees Wax

Encaustic & Oil on Cradled Board 9 x 12

Just can’t get enough of the whole melting wax and oil paint together. To feed the addiction I bought a new fancy ¬†encaustic griddle which makes everything a million times easier… like my dad always said “any job is easier if you have the right tools”… such wisdom!
