Who new painting on paper could be so much fun! So free to just play, revisiting how it felt to paint when I was just getting started 🙂 … hoping to transfer all I discover to wax pieces….So thankful for newfound joys!!
…and in between all the fun with wax is the fun with my old stand by, acrylic …where it all began… It still teaches me so much which I can then transfer to wax. Happy painting!
Back to working small as I try out new techniques. Learning as I play ~  mixing and mashing the old  with the new.  The hot California summer sun has played a role in all these pieces. Fingers crossed they translate as large as I dream them to be!
Playing around with all the different things that can be done with the wax. Scraping, layering, scraping, glazing, and did I say Scraping? Letting it develop in it’s own way in it’s own time.  Next step…Going BIG 🙂
2015 is off to a great start here. Six pieces have already found new homes!! From California to Florida to Pennsylvania and all the way to Belgium!! Truly Blessed and Thankful 🙂 Below are the lucky pieces of 2015 and a few from the end of 2014. Happy New year everyone!
Been a busy busy bee in the studio during the little one’s nap time….wax, oil, acrylic … figures, landscapes and abstracts… all inspiring me in 2014!
